Aim/Scope: The Oriental Journal of Microbiological Research and Advances in Biotechnology is a peer-reviewed international journal of microbiology and biotechnology published in both online as well as print versions. The purpose of the journal is to provide academicians and young researchers worldwide high quality peer-reviewed research articles, reviews, mini-reviews and short communications covering all aspects of microbiology and biotechnology.

Preparing manuscript: While preparing manuscript it must be noted that international standard should be followed in the nomenclature of the microbes. Latin names must be written in italics. For enzymes, the name assigned by IUB Nomenclature Committee as described in Enzyme Nomenclature (Academic Press, Inc., New York, N.Y., 1992) should be used. S.I units should be used wherever necessary. Paper should be written in English in double spacing having considerable margin all-around. For better print quality figures and graphs should be prepared separately in .jpeg file format and it should be indicated in the original manuscript where figures should be inserted.

Submission: Papers prepared in .pdf or .doc files may be submitted online using online submission link on our web-sight or through e-mail directly to Editorial Head Office on chief@oapsci.org with a letter of submission. Articles received are immediately brought to the high profile screening committee of publication which decides whether the article comes under the scope of the journal. In case the article is primarily Okayed by the committee it is sent to referees/members of the Board of Editors for their opinion otherwise returned to the author as such within two days. In case of clear recommendation for publication from the Board of Editors, the paper is accommodated in an issue to appear next.

Abstract and References: Authors are requested to provide an abstract and Keywords and phrases essentially. References should be given at the end of the manuscript.

Copyright: Authors are requested to make sure that submitted article is neither published nor simultaneously submitted or accepted elsewhere for publication. Copyright of the published articles will remain with publisher.

Proofs: One set of galley proofs of a paper will be sent to the author submitting the paper for corrections after the paper is accepted for publication. Authors are requested to check the proofs very carefully before returning it to the publisher. Corrected proofs may be returned to the publisher electronically via e-mail.

Contributions: To maintain timely publication and circulation authors of accepted papers are requested to contribute @ EURO 50 (or equivalent in USD) per page.

Reprints: A set of thirty reprints of an article along with a copy of the issue containing author’s article is provided to the corresponding author ex-gratis. Additional sets of reprints may also be ordered during the proof correction @ Euro 20 per page per set.
